The Winston-Salem VA Regional Office is hosting our annual Veterans Benefits Live: VA in My Town, Cary, NC.
This is your chance to sit down one-on-one with claims processors who can help you file claims for Veteran and survivor benefits, give updates on pending claims, and answer questions about your prior claims and additional benefits you may be entitled to.
Staff from Durham VA Health Care System will be onsite with a wide range of services to include Enrollment and Eligibility, Suicide Prevention, Women's Health/MST, and Caregiver Support.
Flu shots will also be available at no charge.
Other services available include Veteran Readiness and Employment, VA Mobile Vet Center, homeless and low-income housing resources, and local community resources.
Coffee, water, and snacks will be provided for attendees free of charge.
Veterans and their dependents can receive free parking validation for VA appointments or walk-in services with the Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA) office.
To obtain a free parking validation, visitors must park their vehicle at the designated 3rd & Main Street Public Parking Facility, enter through the North Church Street parking entrance, and request a parking validation from the VBA public contact office upon check-in.
Visitors seeking assistance from our Public Contact Team are encouraged to schedule a virtual or in-person appointment on the Visitor Engagement Reporting Application (VERA).
Please go to VERA - Appointment Scheduler to schedule an appointment. You will receive email confirmation of your appointment.
Veterans may continue to interact with the Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA) virtually to access benefits information online or when filing a claim online. For claim-specific questions call 1-800-827-1000.
You may be entitled to a Native allotment selection, if you are an Alaska Native Vietnam Veteran who served between 1964 and 1971, AND have not received a Native allotment, OR are an heir to someone who meets the above criteria. For more information, visit the Bureau of Land Management website.
