This Memorial Day weekend, learn more about your VA benefits while enjoying the NASCAR race at the Charlotte Motor Speedway! Visit VA's Mobile Vet Center located in the fan zone and speak with a VA representative who will share benefit information and answer your questions.

Saluting Women Veterans

Event: Join us for a special event to honor and celebrate women Veterans for their service to our country. Women Veterans of all ages and from all branches and one guest are invited to attend free of charge. Additional attendees can reserve a seat for $40. For registration information, click here

Winston-Salem VA Regional Outreach Event for Faith-based and Community Organizations

Date & Time: Thursday, June 21, 2018 | 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Location: Goodwill Industries

Event: This outreach event is an opportunity for faith-based, nonprofit, community, neighborhood leaders, and local organizations to learn about the benefits and services VA provides to Veterans, family members, and eligible beneficiaries. Additionally, information will be provided to collaborate with VA at the local, regional, and national levels to better assist in providing support to Veterans. Veterans Benefits and Health Administrations, Vet Center and Veterans Service Organizations representatives will assist with:

  • Face-to-face explanation and assistance facilitating and expediting existing claims and appeals
  • Filing new claims
  • Providing information regarding benefit-related VA programs: VRE, education, home loans, insurance, education and burial benefits
  • Counseling for bereavement, military sexual trauma, substance abuse and mental health screening
  • Information about eligibility for Healthcare

Expected Participants: Veterans, their families, and survivors
