Virtual Veterans Claims Clinic (Appointment Only) Date and Time: Tuesday, August 24, 2021| 4:00 PM-6:00 PM

The Roanoke Regional Benefit Office will host a Virtual Veterans Claims Clinic from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, August 24, 2021. The Virtual Veterans Claims Clinic will be staffed by Regional Office employees from our Veterans Service Center ready to virtually assist Veterans one-on-one with specific questions regarding his or her disability claim. The Virtual Veterans Claims Clinic will be available by appointment only. To schedule a virtual appointment, please dial (540)-597-1237 between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., or after 3 p.m. to leave a message, beginning Friday, July 27, 2021, until Thursday, August 19, 2021.

On March 11, 2021, the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) launched VRRAP for Veterans who have lost their jobs due to the COVID-19 pandemic.  Veterans participating in VRRAP can receive education and training for high-demand occupations, which is determined by the Commissioner of Labor Statistics.  Veterans will receive up to 12 months of tuition and fees and a monthly housing allowance based on Post-9/11 GI Bill rates.  To learn more about VRRAP and how to apply for the program, Veterans can visit  Veterans can also contact the Education Call Center at 888-442-4551 between 7 a.m. - 6 p.m. EST, Monday-Friday to speak with a VA education representative.
