As Director of the Seattle Regional Office (RO), Pritz Navaratnasingam oversees 621 full-time employees and administers benefits and services totaling about $1.5 billion a year to the estimated 603,623 Veterans, Servicemembers, their families and survivors in Washington. Prior to this position, Mr. Navaratnasingam was Director of the Houston and Providence Regional Offices.
Cesar Romero is a Veteran who served in the United States Marine Corps from 1999-2006. He started working for the Department of Veterans Affairs in 2006 with the San Diego Regional Office. Cesar became the Special Missions Program Officer (SMPO) for the Integrated Disability Evaluation System (IDES) at the Seattle Regional Office in 2016. Through the great contributions Cesar displayed during his time as the SMPO, he has been selected to continue his contributions as one of our Assistant Directors in the Seattle Regional Office.
Mr. Lindstrom was appointed as Assistant Director in March of 2018. In this position, he leads and has oversight for Seattle VA Regional Office’s Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment Division, Decision Review Operations Center, Human Resources, and Support Services Division. Prior to this position, Mr. Lindstrom was the Pension Management Center Manager at St. Paul VA Regional Office.
Mr. Strope was appointed as the Veteran Service Center Manager (VSCM) in May of 2017. In this position, he administers Compensation and Pension programs and provides other assistance regarding VA benefits and services to Veterans, Servicemembers, their families, and their survivors in the Seattle Regional Office service area. He previously served as a Coach at the Philadelphia Regional Office.
James W. Smith II is a United States Army Veteran who served from 1991-1999. He started working for the Department of Veterans Affairs in 2007 at the Salt Lake City Regional Office. He has held leadership positions with the Salt Lake City, Boise, and Detroit Regional Offices. James was appointed as the Special Missions Program Officer (SMPO) for the Integrated Disability Evaluation System (IDES) at the Seattle Regional Office in December of 2017. He is responsible for administering benefits to all Army IDES participants and oversees 275 full-time employees.
David Boyd is responsible for providing VR&E services for Veterans in Washington and western Idaho. Prior to joining VA, Mr. Boyd served in the U.S. Army. Among other assignments, he patrolled the German border during the Cold War, commanded tanks in the European 7th Corps during Operation Desert Storm, and jumped out of airplanes with the 82nd Airborne Division.
