Director: Sue Malley

Sue Malley was appointed Director of the New York Regional Office (RO) on October 25, 2009. Prior to her appointment, Ms. Malley was Assistant Director of the St. Paul Regional Office (St. Paul, MN).

Assistant Director: Anthony Coltrane

Assistant Director: Anthony Coltrane

Anthony D. Coltrane was appointed to the Assistant Director of the New York Regional Office in October 2022. Previously, he served as the Assistant Director for the San Juan Regional Office (San Juan, Puerto Rico).

Joe Corretjer

Veterans Service Center Manager: Joe Corretjer

Joe Corretjer took this position in October 2011. He has worked in the St. Petersburg Regional Office (St. Petersburg, FL) and the Newark Regional Office (Newark, NJ).

Daniel Umlauf

Veteran Readiness and Employment (VR&E) Officer: Daniel Umlauf

Daniel Umlauf became New York’s VREO in August 2021. He graduated from Columbia University and started working for VBA as a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor in 2006.  He moved on to the VR&E Officer role in 2012 in NJ, and lead the station to numerous acclaims, expansion, and program stability.  He is a graduate of various leadership programs and has benefited from the mentorship of former Veteran Readiness and Service Director, Will Streitberger.  Mr. Umlauf served on the Field Advisory Committee for two years and has been aided from a network of capable Officers across the country.  Daniel Umlauf believes in building a workplace with as little stress as possible, and his motto when it comes to work is “We can handle it.”
