Veterans Town Hall Meeting in Memphis

Date and Time: Tuesday, February 6, 2018 from 12:00pm to 1:30pm CST

Location: Benjamin L. Hooks Central Library Conference Center, 3030 Poplar Avenue in Memphis, Tennessee 38111

Event: The Memphis VA Medical Center and Nashville VA Regional Benefits Office are inviting stakeholders residing in Memphis and surrounding areas to join them at a town hall meeting. This meeting will allow Veterans and family members to to provide feedback on their VA experiences, share ideas, and meet other Veterans and VA leaders. The meeting is part of a nationwide outreach effort to listen and learn directly from Veterans who use the VA system. VBA representatives will be available to to provide information on benefits and offer claims assistance. A representative from National Cemetery Administration will also be in attendance to answer questions and offer assistance.

Expected Participants: Veterans, Family Members, Surviving Spouses, and Community Providers

Austin Peay State University Military Task Force Meeting

Date and Time: Thursday, February 22, 2018 from 10:00am to 11:00am CST

Location: APSU Main Campus, University Center Iris Room, 601 College St.,Clarksville, TN 37041

Event: The purpose of the meetings is to share upcoming events and new resources for veterans as well as discuss ideas for improving the veteran experience at APSU

Expected Participants: Veterans, Family Members, Surviving Spouses, VBA Vocational Rehabilitation, and ASPU Educators
