Mitzi A. Marsh was appointed Director of the St. Louis VA Regional Office (RO) on November 2, 2014. In this position, she is responsible for 1,211 employees. The St. Louis RO administers a variety of services and benefits including Compensation and Pension, Veteran Readiness and Employment, National Call Center, Centralized Support processing the nation’s Freedom of Information Act and Privacy Act requests, Integrated Disability Examination System (IDES), special adaptive housing grants, benefits counseling, outreach services for the homeless, elderly, minority, and woman Veterans, and public affairs activities. The St. Louis RO benefits programs annually pay over $1.9 billion in benefits to over 125,000 Veterans and their beneficiaries. Ms. Marsh is responsible for executing a budget of over $93 million. Ms. Bonnett was appointed Assistant Director of the St. Louis VA Regional Office in June 2018. Prior to this appointment, Ms. Bonnett was the Veterans Service Center Manager of the San Diego Regional Office since 2015.
Mr. Duran was appointed Assistant Director of the St. Louis VA Regional Office in June 2019. Prior to this appointment, Mr. Duran was the Acting Executive Management Officer in the Office of Human Capital Management. He is a Veteran of the United States Marine Corps.
Ms. Brown was appointed Assistant Director of the St. Louis VA Regional Office in September 2020. Ms. Brown was appointed as Acting Assistant Director in October 2019, and prior to this appointment she was the Assistant Director of the Records Management Center (RMC) since July 2017.
Gary Moore accepted the position of Veterans Service Center Manager in January 2016. He previously served as Assistant Veterans Service Center Manager at the St. Louis Regional Office, a position held since March 2013. He served 20 years in the U.S. Navy.
Ms. Austin accepted the position of Chief, Centralized Support Division on December 10, 2017. She previously served as Section Chief, Education Division at the St. Louis Regional Office for one year and Chief, Customer Service Division at the Records Management Center for six years prior to her current position.
Heather Shade was appointed Veteran Readiness and Employment Officer in October 2019. Prior to this appointment, between 2013 and 2019, she served as the VR&E Officer for Wichita Regional Office. In her VA career she has been the Employment Coordinator for Wichita Regional Office and served as a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor for the Anchorage Regional Office..
Angela D. Nash accepted the position of Chief of Support Services in May of 2014. She previously served as the Director of Barrancas National Cemetery in Pensacola Florida, a position held since October of 2010. Ms. Nash has over 21 years of Federal government experience in the Department of Veterans Affairs.
