Director: Sergio S. Chao

Mr. Sergio S. Chao was appointed Director of the Oakland Regional Office in 2022. A United States Army Veteran, Mr. Chao is and now is responsible for the delivery of VA benefits and services to Veterans and their dependents in Northern California. Mr. Chao previously served as the Director of the Honolulu Regional Office and Assistant Director of the Phoenix VA Regional Office.

 

Michele M. Kwok

Assistant Director: Michele Kwok

Michele Kwok was appointed to the Assistant Director position in April 2012.  Prior to this, Ms. Kwok served for six years as Veterans Service Center Manager at the Los Angeles Regional Office.

Veterans Service Center Manager (VSCM): Jaime Alicea

Jaime Alicea was appointed as Veterans Service Center Manager for the Oakland Regional Office in September 2022. Prior to this Assignment Mr. Alicea was the the assistant Service Center Manager at the Sacramento Satellite Office.

 
Rodney G. Hackney

Veteran Readiness and Employment Officer (VREO): Rodney G. Hackney

Rodney Hackney was appointed to this position in November 2012. He provides division-level oversight of the VR&E services provided by the Oakland Regional Office.

Jeffrey P. Marshall

Support Services Division Officer: Jeffrey P. Marshall

Jeff Marshall was appointed to this position in March 2020. He provides division-level oversight of the Support Services Division for the Oakland Regional Office.
