Ms. Wendy L. Torres was appointed as Senior Executive Service (SES) Director of the Jackson VA Regional Office effective June 2021.  With over 190 employees in five locations, the Jackson Regional Office provides compensation benefits and Veteran Readiness and Employment services to over 190,842 Veterans and their families in 82 counties in Mississippi

Jackson RO Director:  Wendy L. Torres

Before to her appointment as the Director of the Jackson RO, Ms. Torres was the SES Director of the Oakland RO. With over 300 employees in seven locations, the Oakland Regional Office provided compensation benefits and Veteran Readiness and Employment services to 185,110 Veterans and their families in 44 counties in Northern California. 

Ms. Torres was also the SES Director of the San Juan VA Regional Office and Assistant Director of the Houston VA Regional Office, Ms. Torres also served as a previous Assistant Director at the Los Angeles VA Regional Office and held various leadership positions within the Loan Guaranty Division at the St. Petersburg, Roanoke and Houston Regional Offices from May 2005 to October 2015.

She joined the Veterans Administration in 1998 as a Loan Specialist and was promoted to several positions throughout her career. Ms. Torres is a graduate of the Assistant Director Development Program, July 2007.

Ms. Torres is a U.S Air Force Veteran and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from New Mexico State University, Las Cruces, New Mexico and a Master of Public Administration degree from Troy State University, Tampa, Florida. She is married to an Air Force retired Veteran with three children and two grandchildren.

Craleta Robinson

Veterans Service Center Manager: Craleta Robinson

Prior to her appointment at the Jackson Regional Office, Mrs. Robinson served as an Assistant Veterans Service Center Manager at the Montgomery Regional Office. Prior to her position in Montgomery, Mrs. Robinson was the Assistant Veterans Service Center Manager at the Hartford Regional Office. In both capacities she was responsible for assisting the Veterans Service Center Manager (VSCM) with oversight of first line managers and employees.

Mrs. Robinson began her Federal career in 2006 at the Montgomery Regional Office as a Veterans Service Representative. She then transferred to the Atlanta Regional Office in 2009. During her tenure in Atlanta, Mrs. Robinson was promoted to Rating Veterans Service Representative and Supervisory Veterans Service Representative (Assistant Coach and Coach).

Originally from Montgomery, Alabama, Mrs. Robinson holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Miles College; a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Miles College; and a Master of Science degree in Human Resource Management from Troy University. Mrs. Robinson is married with two children.

Demeria Williams

Chief, Support Services Division (SSD): Ms. Demeria Williams

Demeria Williams was appointed as the Chief of the Support Services Division for the Jackson Regional Office in February 2018. Prior to her recent appointment, Demeria served as a Management Analyst for the Veterans Experience Office at VA Central Office. She has also served as the Change Management Agent for the Jackson Regional Office, Supervisory Veterans Service Representative and Senior Veterans Service Representative at the Jackson Regional Office. Demeria began her VA career in 2009 and has over 16 years of leadership experience.
