Bruce Voigt 

Director: Bruce Voigt

Bruce Voigt was appointed as the Director of the Des Moines VA Regional Office on February 5, 2018. In his current position as the Director, he is responsible for administering VA benefits to over 43,000 Veterans and their families living in Iowa. These services totaled over 578 million dollars in annual benefits payments. Prior to this appointment, Mr. Voigt served as Acting Assistant Director in the Compensation Service from March 2017. 

Athena Delgado 

Veterans Service Center Manager: Athena Delgado

Athena Delgado was appointed to as the Veterans Service Center Manager (VSCM) of the Des Moines Regional Office in April of 2014. Ms. Delgado is responsible for overseeing payment of over 578 million dollars compensation and pension annual benefits to Veterans and their families in the state of Iowa. Prior to her position at the Des Moines Regional Office, Ms. Delgado served as a coach at the St. Pete Regional Office.

Veteran Readiness and Employment Officer: Randal Beyer

Randy Beyer started this position in January 2011. He began his VA career as Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor in Lincoln, Neb., in 2004. In 2007, he transferred to the Fort Harrison RO to work as a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor.

Kathleen Taylor 

Support Services Chief: Kathleen Taylor

Ms. Taylor joined the Department of Veteran Affairs in August 2004 as a Management Analyst at the Reno Regional Office. Prior to her assignment to Des Moines in June 2014, she was the Support Services Division Chief at the Boise Regional Office. Ms. Taylor earned Master of Arts degree in political science from the University of Nevada, Reno in 2003.
