Event:Outreach, Transition and Economic Development (OTED) will host host a virtual LGBTQ+ Outreach Event. This symposium will feature representatives from VBA,VHA and the Minority Veterans of America. The primary focus of this collaborative effort is to focus on outreach and initiatives impacting the LGBTQ+ Veteran community. The primary focus of this collaborative effort is to focus on outreach efforts and initiatives impacting the LGBTQ+ Veteran community; such Inclusivity, Intersectionality and VA benefits and services knowledge. Guest speakers will educate and empower attendees regarding the LGBTQ+ Veteran community.
Audience:LGBTQ+ Veteran Population & Advocate Groups/Organizations, VA Staff and Outreach Coordinators, National Association of County Veteran Service Officers (NACVSO), National Association State Department of Veterans Affairs (NASDVA) and Veteran Service Organizations (VSO).

Event: Everyone is invited to this community event, promoting awareness and wellness for Veterans and their families. The event will feature free haircuts for Vets, Informational Resources from the Veterans Benefit Administration Pittsburgh VA Regional Office, Live Music, Basket Raffles, Food trucks, and a Memorial Motorcycle Run organized by SW Bikers from Homestead to the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies (NCA). Veteran Memorial Ceremony will start promptly at noon at NCA. Honor and Awareness Program at NCA begins at 2pm. The event benefits Veterans Helping Veterans of Homestead, a place where Veterans can find help with resources, benefits and paperwork, and find peace and comfort in camaraderie and connection with other Veterans.
