Please join us for our Virtual Veteran’s Day Symposium
Virtual Veteran’s Day Symposium Tuesday, November 9, 2021 from 1:00 to 3:30 p.m. (EST). This informative and educational event will allow Veterans nationwide the opportunity to learn about available resources. The event will feature speakers from VA’s Center for Women Veterans, Center for Minority Veterans, and Center for Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships, as well as VHA’s Mental Health Services. The symposium will also highlight Veteran resources, community resources, and showcase the VA.gov website for the attendees.
VBA Virtual Toxic Exposure Symposium
The formerly named Potential Toxic Exposure Symposium, which was to be hosted by Outreach, Transition and Economic Development (OTED) in collaboration with Compensation Service on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 has been postponed and will not happen as scheduled. The Cisco WebEx Event link has been disabled for this cancelled event.

This informative and educational event will provide Veterans with available resources and information as it relates to toxic exposures. The symposium will concentrate on educating and empowering attendees with information regarding toxic exposures and how to file a claim for conditions related to these exposures.

Veteran Rapid Retraining Assistance Program
On March 11, 2021, the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) launched VRRAP for Veterans who have lost their jobs due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Veterans participating in VRRAP can receive education and training for high-demand occupations, which is determined by the Commissioner of Labor Statistics. Veterans will receive up to 12 months of tuition and fees and a monthly housing allowance based on Post-9/11 GI Bill rates. To learn more about VRRAP and how to apply for the program, Veterans can visit www.va.gov. Veterans can also contact the Education Call Center at 888-442-4551 between 7 a.m. - 6 p.m. EST, Monday-Friday to speak with a VA education representative.
