Mr. Patrick C. Prieb was appointed Director of the San Diego VA Regional Office on July 27, 2014. Mr. Prieb leads a dedicated workforce of over 600 full-time employees, of which 85 percent are Veterans. He is responsible for administering approximately $2.027 billion in annual federal benefits to 510,000 Veterans and their dependents in San Diego, Riverside, Imperial, and Orange counties.
Mr. Gary Chesterton was appointed Assistant Director of the San Diego VA Regional Office on October 19, 2014. Previously, Mr. Chesterton served as Manager of the Pension Management Center at the St. Paul Regional Office. In this role, he was responsible for the administration of the pension program for over 283,000 beneficiaries throughout the Western United States, Central America, and South America.
Ms. Andrea Lapinksi was appointed Assistant Director of the San Diego VA Regional Office on July 12, 2015. Previously, Ms. Lapinski served as the Special Assistant of Health Affairs to the Assistant Secretary of the Navy on military health, benefits, and personnel matters. In this role, she served as the designated Navy Secretary's representative on the Joint Executive Council, Benefits Executive Council, and the Interagency Care Coordination Committee.
Stacey Bonnett became the Veterans Service Center Manager in October 2015. In this role, she oversees the delivery of compensation and pension benefits, military outreach services, and education benefits. She is also responsible for the Quick Start and Integrated Delivery Evaluation System national missions. Prior to this appointment, Stacey was the Veterans Service Center Manager at the Wichita VA Regional Office.
Linda Raffignone took this position in September 2008. Prior to this appointment, she was a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor within the San Diego VA Regional Office. She is a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor as designated by the Commission on Rehabilitation Counselor Certification, a designation achieved in 2001.
Kevin McGrew became the Support Services Division Chief in June 2010. As principal adviser to the Director, he oversees the direction and operation of all financial and administrative activities for the San Diego VA Regional Office. He is responsible for administration of an annual operating budget of more than $50 million.
