The Clay Hunt Behavioral Health Summits bring together Veterans in rural communities with the goal of enhancing access to mental health services and addressing the mental healthcare needs of Veterans and their family members residing in the surrounding areas. These events are free and open to the public.

Southeastern Idaho Veterans Advisory Council Meeting

Veterans, Congressional staff members, Veterans Service Officers, and guests are cordially invited to a luncheon meeting of the Southeastern Idaho Veterans Advisory Council; cost for the special meal provided will be $11.00 per person or as ordered from the menu.

Homeless Veterans STAND DOWN

Date & Time: October 27, 2018 - 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM

Location: Idaho State University, Reed Gym, 936 Martin Luther King Drive, Building 45, Pocatello, ID 83201

Stand Downs provide supplies and services to homeless Veterans, such as food, shelter, clothing, health screenings and VA Social Security benefits counseling. Veterans can also receive referrals to other assistance such as health care, housing solutions, employment, substance use treatment and mental health counseling. They are collaborative events, coordinated between local VA Medical Centers, other government agencies and community-based homeless service providers.

Idaho Department of Labor Veteran Hiring Event

Date & Time: October 29, 2018 - 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM

Location: Boise State University, Student Union - Jordan Ballroom, 1700 University Drive, Boise, ID

This event brings together veterans who want to work with employers who want to hire them. The campaign is the result of a partnership among veteran service providers and employers. A list of some employers who are participating, as well as interviewing tips, can be found on the Idaho Department of Labor's website.
