'How To Help a Vet' Faith-based Event

Date and Time: Friday, May 31, 2019 8:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Location: Goodwill Industries--NW North Carolina Inc.

Faith-based, community leaders, and first responders are invited to attend this VA Workshop consisting of three 50-minute interactive classroom sessions designed to provide tools and resources for faith-based leaders to share with veterans. Sessions will provide information on how to collaborate with VA at the local, regional and national levels. Having this valuable information will assist local leaders and responders in their support of veterans.

Session speakers will discuss medical and social needs of veterans, as well as financial, employment and educational concerns. The interactive workshop will allow attendees to engage VA and gain information about healthcare services, mental health awareness, suicide prevention, cemetery, burial, compensation, pension, home loan, education and vocational rehabilitation benefits. We look forward to seeing you on Friday, May 31, 2019.
