About the VA Fee Appraiser Training

VA Fee Appraiser Training is a 9-course series designed for newly appointed VA fee appraisers to become familiar with VA processes, requirements, and reference materials. The goal of the training is to:

  • Equip VA fee appraisers with a comprehensive understanding of VA’s appraisal guidelines and requirements as outlined in VA Pamphlet 26-7 The Lender’s Handbook and relevant VA Circulars.
  • Utilize knowledge checks and group discussions to reinforce learning and ensure practical application of course material.
  • Improve the quality and timeliness of VA appraisals and enhance the overall experience for lenders, servicers, and Veterans during the appraisal process.

Video versions of the training, along with copies of the presentation will be posted here as a resource for both new and experienced VA fee panel appraisers.
