Jonathan M. Skelly

Director: Jonathan M. Skelly

Jon Skelly was appointed Director of the Salt Lake City Regional Office (RO) on June 3, 2012, and he also serves Director of the Anchorage and Fort Harrison ROs. He is responsible for administering benefits and services to an estimated 161,350 Veterans, Servicemembers, their families and survivors in Utah. Prior to this appointment, he was Director of the VA Regional Office and Outpatient Clinic in Manila, Philippines.

Karl Pfanzelter

Assistant Director: Karl Pfanzelter

Karl Pfanzelter was appointed to this position in April 2012. He also serves as the Assistant Director of the Anchorage and Fort Harrison ROs. Before that, he was the Veterans Service Center Manager at the Winston-Salem RO.

Franko Fritz

Assistant Director: Franko Fritz

Franko Fritz has served as Assistant Director of the Salt Lake City, Anchorage, and Ft. Harrison ROs since October 2012. He oversees more than 600 employees. He served as the Western Area Fiduciary Hub Manager from March 2009 to October 2012.

Jean Chadwick

Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment Officer: Jean Chadwick

Jean Chadwick has been in this position for the Salt Lake City and Boise ROs since September 2013. She oversees 21 staff at six locations serving about 2,280 Veterans, Servicemembers, their families and survivors. Prior to this, she was Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment Officer for the Reno RO.

Kimberly Albers

Veterans Service Center Manager: Kimberly Albers

Kimberly Albers took this position in December 2009. She manages benefits programs for Veterans in Utah and oversees the Benefits Delivery at Discharge Rating Activity Sites for the Western and Central Areas and Korea. Ms. Albers is also responsible for management of the Veterans Benefits Administration’s portion of the Integrated Disability Evaluation System program at Hill Air Force Base.

Corina Boyd

National Call Center / IRIS Response Center Manager: Corina Boyd

Corina Boyd is the National Call Center and IRIS Response Center Manager (NCCM) for the Department of Veterans Affairs at the Salt Lake City, Utah Regional Office.  As the NCCM, Mrs. Boyd is responsible for the management of all call center operations, which includes providing services to Veterans, their dependents, and/or survivors through professional and courteous telephone assistance.  Mrs. Boyd is also responsible for management of the one and only IRIS Response Center mission within the VBA.  Similar to the NCC, this includes providing services to Veterans, their dependents, and/or survivors.  However, services from this division are provided through high quality written correspondence.  In the past, she served in the capacity of a Coach, Assistant Coach, a Rating Veterans Service Representative, and as a Veterans Service Representative at the Veterans Service Center in Salt Lake City. 

Douglas H. Alston (Doug)

Chief, Support Services Division: Douglas H. Alston (Doug)

Doug began his career with the VA in January 2007 at the Salt Lake City Regional Office as the Chief, Support Services Division.  The Regional Office has responsibility for Fort Harrison, Montana and Anchorage, Alaska in addition to Utah.  SSD has responsibility for all finance operations (benefits, payroll, A/R, A/P, travel), administrative support functions, facility operations, mail operations, fleet and records management, security, and safety.  He also acts as the Finance Officer for 5 stations, including Reno and Honolulu.  He is the Western Area representative of the Financial Management Committee/Support Services Counsel and has been a member since 2009.

Richard M. Colby

Fiduciary Hub Manager: Richard M. Colby

Richard M. Colby has served as the Western Area Fiduciary Hub Manager since February, 2013.  Mr. Colby is responsible for administering the fiduciary program in 13 western states.  He formerly served in several capacities at the Western Area Fiduciary Hub where he began his VBA career in 2008.
