VA Policy Regarding Natural Disasters
The VA Guidance on Natural Disasters provides information for Veteran borrowers and what to do if your home was affected by a natural disaster.
The Pittsburgh Regional Office delegates a representative to conduct regularly occurring outreach at local VA Medical Centers in and around the Pittsburgh area, as described below:
Location: University Drive, Main building, 1st floor (Next to the Patient Advocate, main floor)
When: 1st Wednesday of each month | 8:00am-4:30pm
Target Audience: All Veterans
Location: Aspinwall, (Palliative Care; Building 51 Room 1A117 in the B hall of 1 South)
When: 2nd Wednesday of the month | 8:00am-4:30pm
Target Audience: Hospitalized and Hospice Veterans
Location: Aspinwall, Building 69 (Domiciliary)
When: 4th Wednesday of the month | 8:00am-4:30pm
Target Audience: Homeless Veterans, CWT participants, Domiciliary Residents
Location: Butler VAMC, OEF/OIF Clinic
When: 3rd Friday of the month | 8:00am-4:30pm
Target Audience: All Veterans
When: Friday, July 8, 2016 | 6:00pm-9:00pm

Erie VA is pleased to announce the 2016 Welcome Home Appreciation Event at the Erie Zoo on Friday, July 8 from 6-9pm. Veterans and their families are invited to attend the annual Welcome Home Veterans Appreciation Event in honor of their service.
This year's event will take place at the Erie Zoo, providing fun for the whole family. VA representatives (from both the VAMC and the Pittsburgh Regional Office) and other Veteran-related service organizations will be on-site throughout the evening to provide information to Veterans and their families about VA services and other Veteran-related community resources. It's a one-stop shop to connect with a number of VA and community services.
Target Audience: This event is specifically held to connect returning Veterans and their families with the VA resources available to them. This event is also open to Veterans of all eras in honor of their service.
Tickets: Tickets are free, but they are limited. Tickets will be available Wednesday, June 1st through Friday, July 1st and will not be available the day of the event. Tickets include entry to the Zoo for that night and a hot dog, chips, and drink.
