Erie VA Medical Center (VAMC) invites Veterans, their families, and community stakeholders to attend a Voice of the Veteran Town Hall Meeting on Thursday, February 5th from 5:30pm-7pm. During the meeting, Veterans and their families can share positive VA experiences and suggest improvement opportunities to VA staff regarding services offered at the Erie VAMC.
Erie VAMC's goal is to deliver care that not only meets patients' needs, but exceeds their expectations. This session allows staff the opportunity to collect patient feedback on what areas are functioning well and what areas may need improvement. Feedback will then be used to help direct Erie VAMC's organizational planning.
Representatives will be available to advise Veterans about benefits available through both VBA and VHA.

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Pittsburgh Regional Office Claims Clinic will focus on claims intake and assistance for Veterans, their family members and survivors, and any organization or individual who works with or on behalf of Veterans.
The Claims Clinic will take the claims intake process into the community and provide face to face assistance for those submitting claims or who have questions on existing claims.
Expected Participants: VBA, Veterans and their family members, survivors, and any organization or individual who works with or on behalf of Veterans.
VA announced the new single regional framework under the MyVA alignment. The new framework, which will enhance internal coordination, will be in place by the end of June 2015.
The IRS works with community and government partners to provide timely tax-related information to Veterans including free federal tax preparation.
Army Veteran Jason Gibson, who lost both of his legs during his third deployment to Afghanistan, is reaching out to other Veterans “...to show that if you want to do something, there is a way to do it.”
