The Milwaukee Pension Management Center (PMC) serves Veterans and their dependents living in Alabama, Arkansas, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, Ohio, Tennessee, and Wisconsin. Since pension work started to be consolidated in 2002, the accuracy (defined as paying the right person, the right amount, from the correct effective date) of pension cases nation-wide has improved from 56% to 96%.  Due to this quality improvement, as well as to assist Regional Offices throughout the country to focus their resources upon new claims for service-connected disabilities, addtional consolidations began in 2008.  At this point, the Milwaukee PMC manages claims for original disability pension, original pension for surviving dependents, adjustments on running pension awards, claims for accrued benefits, and claims for burial expenses.

Am I entitled to  benefits? 

VA Pension is an income-based program intended to ensure that all war-time veterans and their dependents can maintain a reasonable standard of living.  There are additional benefits available to dependents, some of which are income based, and some of which are not.
