Veterans Service Center Manager: Jessica Maki
Jessica Maki was appointed to this position in July 2012. She is responsible for the overall management of Compensation and Pension benefits and services to Veterans, Servicemembers, their families and dependents in Connecticut. Ms. Maki began her VA career in Washington, D.C., as a Management Analyst with the Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment Service.
Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment Officer: James M. Lester
James M. Lester was appointed to this position in March of 2016. He is responsible for the overall management of the Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment Program, which provides a multitude of benefits and services to Veterans, Service Members, their families, and dependents throughout the state of Connecticut. Mr. Lester began his VA career working in the Compensation and Pension Program, elevating through several positions and came to Hartford after a recent position on the Central Office STAR and Site Survey Team. He has been involved in many pilots, workgroups, and innovations throughout different government agencies, colleges, universities, and community organizations. James has completed multiple certifications and leadership programs and has served on advisories, committees, and councils with dozens of organizations and agencies. His ability to lead and make executive resolutions is noticed in the community, as he has been asked to serve on several board of directors and as oversight on major projects and organizations at local, state, and national levels.
